Educational qualification
DE/UC (Seaman, Communication & Technical): SSC/Equivalent/Vocational Pass candidates from Science stream can apply. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.50. Candidates with superior Mathematics in SSC examination and ‘A’ grade from BN Dockyard Cooperative Society Technical Institute will be given preference in recruitment.
Medical: SSC/Equivalent pass candidates with Biology can apply. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.50.
Patrolman, Writer, Store and MODC (Navy): SSC/Equivalent pass candidates with minimum GPA 3.00 can apply.
Steward & Cook: SSC/Equivalent/Vocational Pass candidates with minimum GPA 2.50 can apply.
TOPAS: 8th class pass only can apply for this post.
Physical Qualification: Candidates for the post of Seaman and MODC (Navy) should be five feet six inches (5’-6”) in height. Apart from this, height of five feet eight inches (5′-8″) for Patrolman branch and five feet four inches (5′-4″) for other branches can be applied. Candidates should have normal chest size (male 30 inches and inflated 32 inches). Apart from this, vision should be 6/6. Weight should be determined according to height and age.
Other Qualifications: Candidates age should be between 17 to 20 years of seafarer as on 01 January 2023. But age limit for MODC (Navy) post is 17 to 22 years. Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for the posts. Apart from this, applicants must know swimming.
Pay and Allowances: Recruits will be paid pay and allowances as per Armed Forces norms. Apart from this, there will be other benefits.
